Tell your healthcare provider if you have glaucoma, schizophrenia, or heart problems before taking Vivactil. Warnings and precautions also include making sure that you do not have bipolar disorder (instead of depression), watching for any signs of suicidal behavior, and checking your blood sugar levels often if you have diabetes.
