Thorazine Drug Interactions

When medicines like pindolol or barbiturates are taken together with Thorazine, drug interactions can potentially occur. Thorazine drug interactions can increase your risk of side effects or alter the levels of some drugs in your blood. Some other medications that may potentially lead to Thorazine interactions include propranolol, narcotics or opiates, certain anticonvulsants, and rifamycin antibiotics.

An Introduction to Thorazine Drug Interactions

 Thorazine® (chlorpromazine hydrochloride) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of these medicines that may lead to Thorazine interactions include:
 
  • Alcohol
  • Barbiturates, including:

 

    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
    • Secobarbital (Seconal®)
