Thionine

Were you looking for information about
Theanine? Thionine is a common misspelling of theanine.

Theanine is an amino acid found in tea. It is commonly used in dietary supplements that are claimed to be useful for treating Alzheimer's disease, high blood pressure, and anxiety. It is not clear exactly how theanine works, but it may have effects on increasing serotonin and GABA levels in the brain and protecting brain nerves from damage seen in Alzheimer's.
