Who Should Not Take Serzone?

You should not take Serzone if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Serzone, nefazodone hydrochloride, or any inactive components used to make Serzone. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients used to make the medication.
     
  • Are taking certain medications, including:
o Carbamazepine (Tegretol®, Tegretol XR®)
o Cisapride (Propulsid®)
o Pimozide (Orap®)
o Triazolam (Halcion®), in most circumstances.
