34 Weeks Pregnant

When you're 34 weeks pregnant, your baby is most likely in the fetal position and probably weighs about 5 pounds. In week 34 of pregnancy, you may experience fatigue and more swelling in your ankles, fingers, or face. At 34 weeks pregnant, you should start looking for a pediatrician or family practitioner for the baby if you have not already done so.

34 Weeks Pregnant: An Overview

It may seem like an eternity, but in actuality, you only have seven weeks to go! When you're 34 weeks pregnant, your baby is starting to get "as snug as a bug in a rug" -- he or she is most likely in the fetal position (legs curled tightly up to his or her chest).
If your baby is not yet in the birthing position, don't worry -- there is still plenty of time.

If your baby was born now, he or she would more than likely be all right -- the baby would probably have to be on oxygen, due to his or her immature lungs and put in an incubator to help maintain body heat, but you are through the most dangerous time to have the baby.

When you're 34 weeks pregnant, your baby now measures about 12.8 inches, crown to rump, and weighs about 5 pounds.
