30 Weeks Pregnant: An Overview
You are now 30 weeks pregnant and into your 8th month of pregnancy -- only 11 more weeks to go!
When you are 30 weeks pregnant, you may find that you are getting more and more restless, waiting for your baby to arrive (the "hurry up and wait" syndrome)! Make the most of this time -- spend some one-on-one time with your spouse, finish projects that you have been meaning to get to, and relax.
It will be a long time before you will have this kind of uninterrupted personal time again. Many couples plan a weekend getaway around this time; this is fine, as long as your doctor clears you medically for such a trip.
At about week 30 of your pregnancy, your baby now weighs about 3 pounds and measures about 10.8 inches from crown to rump. From week 30 to week 37 of pregnancy, your baby will gain about half a pound per week.
