Phenelzine

When and How to Take Phenelzine

Considerations for when and how to take phenelzine include the following:
 
  • Phenelzine comes in tablet form. It is taken by mouth, usually three times a day.
  • You can take the medication with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, try taking phenelzine with food.
  • Phenelzine should be taken at the same times each day to maintain an even level in your blood.
  • For the drug to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Phenelzine will not work if you stop taking it.
