Perphenazine (Trilafon^®) is a "typical antipsychotic" that is approved to treat schizophrenia and severe nausea and vomiting. This prescription medication works by blocking or lessening the effects of dopamine in the brain, which may be elevated in people with these conditions. Perphenazine is not suitable for everyone.
