Paroxetine Mesylate

If you have panic disorder, major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, your healthcare provider may recommend paroxetine mesylate. This drug comes in tablet form and is typically taken once a day. As a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, the medication works by balancing the levels of serotonin in the brain. Nausea, insomnia, and ejaculation problems are some of the most common side effects.

Are There Side Effects?

Just like any medicine, paroxetine mesylate can cause side effects.
 However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.
 
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious reactions are less common.
