Paroxetine Mesylate Dosage

Dose of Paroxetine Mesylate for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

The usual starting dosage of paroxetine mesylate for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is 20 mg once a day. Your healthcare provider may increase this amount by 10 mg per day, no more often than once a week, to a maximum of 50 mg a day. However, in studies, higher paroxetine mesylate doses were not more effective than the daily 20-mg dose for treating GAD.
