Drug Interactions With the Methylphenidate Patch

Drug interactions with the methylphenidate patch may occur if it is used with clonidine, warfarin, or phenobarbital. Some drug interactions that may occur with the methylphenidate patch (such as those involving MAOIs) can be dangerous. Be sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you may also be taking to help prevent drug interactions with the methylphenidate patch.

 methylphenidate patch (Daytrana™) can potentially interact with several drugs. Some of the medications that may lead to methylphenidate patch drug interactions include:
 
o Dopamine (Intropin®)
o Dobutamine (Dobutrex®)
o Epinephrine (Adrenalin®, EpiPen®)
o Norepinephrine (Levophed®)
