Methamphetamine Withdrawal (Cont.)

Limiting Methamphetamine Withdrawal

People who are taking prescribed doses of methamphetamine for legitimate medical purposes do not usually need to worry about methamphetamine withdrawal. However, if you have been taking very large methamphetamine doses, you may want to talk to your healthcare provider. He or she may recommend medications to help with methamphetamine withdrawal (such as antidepressants) and may be able to help with addiction or dependence problems. If you have been taking very high doses of methamphetamine, slowly stopping the medication (decreasing the dose a little each day) can help prevent withdrawal symptoms.
