Methamphetamine? Methamfetamine is a common misspelling of methamphetamine.
Methamphetamine hydrochloride (Desoxyn®) is a medication approved to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). When combined with exercise and calorie reduction, it can also be used as a short-term obesity treatment. The drug comes in tablet form and is typically taken once or twice a day for ADHD and half an hour before each meal for weight loss. Before your healthcare provider prescribes methamphetamine, make sure to tell him or her if you have diabetes, glaucoma, or hyperthyroidism.
