Drug Interactions With MethamphetamineDrug interactions with methamphetamine can involve medications such as guanethidine, insulin, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Methamphetamine may also interact with tricyclic antidepressants and phenothiazine medications. Effects of these potential drug interactions involving methamphetamine can include such things as a reduction in the effectiveness of one or both drugs, an increased risk for low blood sugar, or an extreme increase in blood pressure.
