Mirtazapine (Remeron)

People who have depression (also called major depression or clinical depression) may find relief with mirtazapine (Remeron®). This drug comes in two different types of tablets and is typically taken once a day. Because drowsiness is a common side effect, your healthcare provider may recommend you take this product before bedtime. People with certain medical conditions, such as low blood pressure, epilepsy, or kidney disease, may require more careful monitoring or may need to consider an alternative to mirtazapine.
