Guanfacine ER Drug Information

Guanfacine ER (Intuniv™) is a nonstimulant medicine used to treat ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) in children and adolescents. It is a long-acting form of guanfacine, a drug that has been used for decades to control high blood pressure. The medication comes in four strengths and is taken once a day.
 
Guanfacine ER may not be suitable for everyone. Before your child starts taking it, tell your healthcare provider if your child has low blood pressure, a history of fainting, or any allergies.
