Desyrel
® (
trazodone hydrochloride) is a prescription medicine used for the treatment of
depression in adults. Specific depression symptoms that can be treated with this drug include:
- Feeling hopeless or worthless
- Sleeping too much or not enough
- Eating too much or too little (and weight gain or weight loss)
- Having little interest in things you used to enjoy.
The medication comes in tablet form and is generally taken one to three times per day. Lightheadedness, nausea, and fatigue are some of the most commonly reported side effects. However, most people are able to take it without any problems. In order for Desyrel to work properly, you must take it as prescribed.
