In general, Mellaril should not be combined with other medications that prolong the QT interval. Some medications are more likely than others to prolong the QT interval. Talk with your healthcare provider before combining Mellaril with any other medications that prolong the QT interval. It may be appropriate in some circumstances to use these medications together, especially if your heart rhythm is carefully monitored.
 
Similarly, it is best to avoid using Mellaril with medications that can increase the level of Mellaril in your body, due to the increased risk of side effects (including QT prolongation). However, your healthcare provider may recommend using these medications together, especially if you are closely monitored.
