Maprotiline Dosage

The dose of maprotiline that your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
 
  • Your age
  • Other medical conditions you may have
  • Other medications you may currently be taking.
     
As with any medication, do not adjust your maprotiline dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Maprotiline Side Effects

As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with maprotiline. However, not everyone who takes the antidepressant will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate the drug well. When maprotiline side effects do occur, they are often minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by your healthcare provider. Serious side effects of maprotiline are less common.
