Surmontil is an antidepressant that is used for treating depression in adults. By allowing serotonin and norepinephrine to stay in the brain longer, the medication can help improve symptoms of depression. The product comes in tablet form and is usually taken one to four times a day. Side effects can include constipation, a dry mouth, and dizziness or lightheadedness.
- The medication comes in capsule form. When used for depression, it is usually taken by mouth one to four times daily.
- You can take Surmontil with or without food. If it upsets your stomach, try taking it with food.
- The drug should be taken at the same times each day to maintain even levels of the medication in your blood.
- For the antidepressant to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. It will not work if you stop taking it.
