The selegiline transdermal patch is a prescription medicine approved for the treatment of depression in adults. By blocking the action of monoamine oxidase in the brain, the medication can help improve the symptoms of depression. The skin patch is applied once a day. Side effects can include insomnia, weight loss, and headaches.
What Is the Selegiline Transdermal Patch?The selegiline transdermal patch (Emsam®) is a prescription medication that is used to treat depression (also known as major depression or clinical depression). It is currently the only skin patch that is approved to treat depression.
