Fluvoxamine CR (Luvox® CR), a long-acting medication, is approved to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults. It comes in capsule form and is usually taken once a day. Nausea, drowsiness, headaches, and insomnia are some of the most common side effects; however, most people tolerate it well.
Because this prescription medication is not suitable for everyone, make sure to review the prescribing information on fluvoxamine CR before starting treatment.
