Mental Health Home > Fluvoxamine CR Information

Fluvoxamine CR (Luvox® CR), a long-acting medication, is approved to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in adults. It comes in capsule form and is usually taken once a day. Nausea, drowsiness, headaches, and insomnia are some of the most common side effects; however, most people tolerate it well.
Because this prescription medication is not suitable for everyone, make sure to review the prescribing information on fluvoxamine CR before starting treatment. This medication isn't suitable for everyone, so let your healthcare provider know if you have any other medical conditions, such as bipolar disorder, epilepsy, or liver disease. Also, make sure to let your healthcare provider know if you are currently taking any other medications.
(Click Fluvoxamine CR for more in-depth information on this drug, including how it works, how it performed in clinical trials, and what to do in cases of overdose.)
