Although most people tolerate lisdexamfetamine well, there are potential side effects of the medication. Some of the most common lisdexamfetamine side effects include a decreased appetite, insomnia, and headaches. Typically, the side effects are minor and can easily be treated. However, some side effects of lisdexamfetamine (such as hallucinations, shortness of breath, and suicidal thoughts) may require immediate medical care.

However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
