Mental Health Home > Jansing

Were you looking for information about Ginseng? Jansing is a common misspelling of ginseng.
Ginseng is an herbal supplement commonly used to stimulate the immune system and to improve mental functioning and overall mental health. There are numerous active compounds in this product -- some with "blood-thinning" properties, some with estrogen-like effects, and some that may stimulate the immune system. Since some people may be more likely to experience problems due to supplements, you should talk to your healthcare provider before taking ginseng supplements if you have heart disease, diabetes, or schizophrenia.
(Click Ginseng to find out what else ginseng products are used for, to learn about the effectiveness of these products, and for a list of potential side effects. You can also click any of the links in the box to the right for specific information.)
