Who Should Not Take Lorazepam?

You should not take lorazepam if you:
 
  • Are allergic to Ativan, lorazepam, or any inactive components used to make lorazepam. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not take lorazepam if you are allergic to any other benzodiazepine medication.
     
  • Have acute narrow-angle glaucoma (an eye condition).
