Precautions and Warnings With Levomilnacipran

Who Should Not Take Levomilnacipran?

You should not take levomilnacipran if you:
 
  • Are allergic to it, Fetzima, a similar medicine known as milnacipran (Savella®), or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
 
  • Are currently taking or have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) to treat a psychiatric problem within the past 14 days (see Drug Interactions With Levomilnacipran). You should also not take an MAOI if you have taken levomilnacipran in the past seven days.
 
  • Are currently being treated with linezolid (Zyvox®) or methylene blue injection.
 
  • Have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (a type of glaucoma, an eye condition).
