Drug Interactions With Iloperidone

A few of the drugs that can potentially interact with iloperidone include alcohol, blood pressure medications, and other medications that cause drowsiness. Drug interactions may increase the amount of iloperidone in your blood, possibly leading to serious complications. You should make sure to talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about the potential drug interactions that may apply to you.

An Overview of Iloperidone Drug Interactions

 Iloperidone (Fanapt) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to drug interactions with iloperidone include:
 
  • Alcohol or other substances or medications that cause drowsiness
  • Blood pressure medications
  • CYP 2D6 inhibitor medications, including (but not limited to):

 

 

  • CYP 3A4 inhibitor medications, including (but not limited to):

 

 

  • Medications that cause a certain change in the heart rhythm known as QT prolongation (see QT-Prolonging Medications for a list of such medications).
