Desyrel

Desyrel is a prescription medication that is licensed for the treatment of depression in adults. Although it is not exactly known how the drug works, it is thought to balance serotonin levels in the brain and block certain serotonin receptors. The antidepressant comes in tablet form and is generally taken one to three times a day. Potential side effects of Desyrel may include drowsiness, headache, or fatigue.

Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Desyrel.

However, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.

The most common side effects of Desyrel include:

Drowsiness

Dizziness or lightheadedness
Headache
Nervousness
Blurred vision
Nausea or vomiting
Fatigue.
