Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors
It is not known if Desyrel interacts with MAOIs. However, since many other antidepressants interact with MAOIs, your healthcare provider may want to monitor you more closely if you are taking these two medications together.
 
Nefazodone
Taking Desyrel with nefazodone may increase the level of Desyrel in your blood, which may increase your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to lower your Desyrel dosage to prevent this interaction from occurring.
 
Nicardipine
Combining Desyrel with nicardipine may increase the level of Desyrel in your blood, possibly increasing your risk of side effects. To prevent this, your healthcare provider may need to lower your Desyrel dosage.
 
Phenytoin
