Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline

What If I Take an Overdose of Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline?

People who take too much chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline may have overdose symptoms that could include:
 
  • An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
  • Low blood pressure (hypotension)
  • Seizures
  • Drowsiness
  • Coma
  • Loss of life.
     
If you happen to overdose on chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline, seek immediate medical attention.

What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline?

If you do not take your chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
 

Strengths of Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline

Chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline tablets are available in the following strengths:
 
  • Chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline 5 mg/12.5 mg -- containing 5 mg of chlordiazepoxide and 12.5 mg of amitriptyline
  • Chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline 10 mg/25 mg -- containing 10 mg of chlordiazepoxide and 25 mg of amitriptyline.
     

Is There a Generic Version of Chlordiazepoxide and Amitriptyline?

Currently, both brand-name and generic versions of chlordiazepoxide and amitriptyline are licensed for sale (see Generic Limbitrol).
