Campral® (acamprosate calcium) is typically prescribed to help people who have alcohol dependence. This medication is intended for use after a person has stopped drinking (usually after detoxification) and should be used in combination with a comprehensive alcohol treatment program that includes counseling. Before using this medication, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of other medical conditions you have and any other medications you are taking.
