Serious Campral Side Effects
Some side effects with
Campral, while occurring infrequently, are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
- Suicidal thoughts or behaviors
- Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
- Unexplained rash
- Hives
- Itching
- Swelling of the mouth or throat
- Wheezing
Rare Campral Side Effects
Rare Campral side effects occurred in less than 1 percent of people taking the drug. Because these side effects are so uncommon, it is difficult to tell whether they are caused by Campral or something else. There is a good chance that these "side effects" could be completely unrelated to Campral.
These less common side effects include but are not limited to:
- Migraines
- Hepatitis
- Ulcers
- An underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism)
- Weight loss (see Campral and Weight Gain)
- Anemia
- Leg cramps
- A spinning sensation (vertigo)
- Asthma
- Nosebleeds
- Acne
- Eczema
- Hair loss
- Ringing in the ears (tinnitus).
