Bupropion SR Side Effects to Report

There are a number of possible side effects of bupropion SR that you should report to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:

Seizures (see Wellbutrin Seizures or Zyban Seizures)
Suicidal thoughts or behavior (see Wellbutrin SR and Suicide or Zyban and Suicide)
Anxiety, agitation, or panic attacks
Hostility or aggressiveness
Engaging in unusual or dangerous activities
Restlessness or an inability to sit still
Extreme elation or a feeling of happiness that may switch back and forth with a depressed or sad mood
Other unusual changes in behavior
Hallucinations
A fast heart rate
Chest palpitations
Difficulty sleeping
Feelings of internal jitteriness or restlessness
Signs of an allergic reaction, including an unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Other less common side effects of bupropion SR include:

A loss of appetite
Frequent urination, bladder infections, or other urinary problems
Flushing (redness of the skin, especially the face)
Migraine headaches
Joint pain or arthritis
Taste changes
Hot flashes
Muscle twitching
Coughing
Low blood pressure (hypotension)
Sensitivity to the sun
Canker sores
High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia)
Anemia
Leg cramps
Impotence (erectile dysfunction or ED) or a decreased sex drive (see Wellbutrin SR and Libido or Zyban Sexual Side Effects).
