Bupropion SR: What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose?

If you do not take your bupropion SR as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose of bupropion SR.

Bupropion SR Strengths

Bupropion SR tablets are available in three strengths:

  • Bupropion SR 100 mg tablets
  • Bupropion SR 150 mg tablets
  • Bupropion SR 200 mg tablets.

Bupropion SR Generic

Currently, both brand name bupropion SR and generic bupropion SR are licensed for sale. Some versions of bupropion SR are generic substitutes for Wellbutrin SR, while others are generic substitutes for Zyban. Technically, they are not interchangeable (although the only difference is in the prescribing information). Also, one company has chosen to use different names for its generic bupropion SR versions: Budeprion SR® (generic for Wellbutrin SR) and Buproban® (generic for Zyban).
