Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)
You should not take bupropion hydrobromide if you have taken an MAOI within the past 14 days, due to an increased risk of dangerous side effects.

Nelfinavir
It is thought that nelfinavir may interact with bupropion hydrobromide, although the actual significance of this interaction is unknown. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely and may need to adjust your dose of these medications.

Nicotine Patches
Taking bupropion hydrobromide while using nicotine patches can cause high blood pressure. Your healthcare provider should monitor your blood pressure if you are taking these medications together.

Orphenadrine

Ritonavir (Norvir) or Lopinavir and Ritonavir (Kaletra)
Ritonavir (whether taken alone or with lopinavir) may increase the metabolism of bupropion hydrobromide, leading to decreased levels of bupropion hydrobromide in the blood and possibly to decreased effectiveness. Check with your healthcare provider before taking such medications together. You may need a higher bupropion hydrobromide dosage, although the maximum recommended dosage should not be exceeded, even if you are taking ritonavir.
