The following sections explain in detail the potentially negative interactions that can occur when
atomoxetine is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
Albuterol Tablets (Proventil, VoSpire)
Taking atomoxetine with

chlorpromazine can increase the amount of atomoxetine in your blood, possibly leading to increased side effects. If you are taking atomoxetine along with chlorpromazine, you may begin treatment at the usual atomoxetine starting dose. However, your healthcare provider should increase your dose only if necessary and only if you are not experiencing bothersome side effects.

Taking atomoxetine with
delavirdine can increase the amount of atomoxetine in your blood, possibly leading to increased side effects. If you are taking atomoxetine along with delavirdine, you may begin treatment at the usual atomoxetine starting dose. However, your healthcare provider should increase your dose only if necessary and only if you are not experiencing bothersome side effects.
Fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem, Symbyax)

fluoxetine can increase the amount of atomoxetine in your blood, possibly leading to increased side effects. If you are taking atomoxetine with fluoxetine, you may begin treatment at the usual atomoxetine starting dose. However, your healthcare provider should increase your dose only if necessary and only if you are not experiencing bothersome side effects.
