Medications for High Blood Pressure
Meperidine (Demerol)
Taking amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release and meperidine together can cause life-threatening side effects, such as very low
blood pressure. Do not take meperidine and amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release together unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
Methenamine (Hiprex, Urex)
Taking amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release and methenamine together can decrease the amount of amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release in the blood, possibly making it less effective. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dose of these drugs.
MAO Inhibitors
Taking amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release and MAO inhibitors together can cause life-threatening side effects, such as very
high blood pressure. Do not take amphetamine-dextroamphetamine extended release and MAO inhibitors together unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
