Precautions and Warnings With Amoxapine

Before starting a new medication, it is important to be aware of its precautions and warnings. With amoxapine, you should look out for certain side effects, such as suicidal thoughts or behavior, dry mouth, or unusual uncontrollable facial or body movements. You should not take amoxapine if you are allergic to any components of the medicine, have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor in the past 14 days, or have recently had a heart attack.

Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you may be taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
