Side Effects of Alprazolam

Some of the most common side effects of alprazolam include increased appetite, irritability, and fatigue. In most cases, side effects are minor and either don't require treatment or are easily treated. There are, however, a number of potentially serious side effects that should be reported to a healthcare provider, such as depression, jaundice, or signs of an allergic reaction.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with alprazolam (Xanax®); however, not everyone who takes the medication will experience problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
