About Mental Health
A person's mental health is just as important as the physical health. When certain chemicals in the brain become unbalanced, causing persistent feelings of sadness, or a child has trouble sitting still or focusing on tasks in school, treatment options are available.
Welcome to the Mental Health Channel on eMedTV. Because conditions pertaining to mental health, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or manic depression (bipolar disorder), are not always as well understood as other conditions, this eMedTV resource is designed to give you the information you need. In-depth articles on these and other conditions are provided, as are articles on specific medications used to treat mental health conditions, including amitriptyline (Elavil®), bupropion (Wellbutrin®), and citalopram (Celexa®).
Many people choose to begin their eMedTV mental health experience by clicking one of the featured links located on this page.
